The sexiest way to present your research?

You’ve just carried out an extensive report. You’ve got lots of lovely data to present to your customers. You want it to make the biggest impact you can. But how?

Passenger Focus, an organisation focused on getting the best deal for rail and bus passengers decided on a video, but didn’t think an interview would carry the ‘wow’ factor they were looking for. They had conducted a survey into bus passenger satisfaction taken from 21,000 responses from over 23 areas in England outside of London. The video was to present the headlines of this research to the minister for transport.

After discussion with Jo Haywood at Skylark Media, they decided that a more dynamic (and cheaper) way would be to use motion graphics. A detailed storyboard was agreed and passed over to Skylark Media’s dynamic graphics team. These masters at the highly sophisticated motion graphics software animated the research findings to presents them in a clear and manageable form, with music to set the tone.

Skylark Media’s video for Passenger Focus can be seen above. Its stylish and upbeat tone gives bus operators a clear summary of the research. Once enthused and motivated, they can get full details of their individual areas from the online report. The video has been a huge success and is now being used at presentations across the company, both internally and externally.
